Compass · AI Act & GDPR
Your AI Act file, ready in an afternoon.
The AI Act already applies to the ChatGPT your team uses and the chatbot on your website. Compass tells you, system by system, what applies, what to do and by when.
The problem
What it solves
It already applies
Art. 5 bans and Art. 4 AI literacy since 2 Feb 2025, Art. 50 transparency since 2 Aug 2026. Most SMEs haven't started.
Tools built for enterprises
Compliance software is priced for legal departments and written in English, not for a 20-person company.
Deadlines that moved
The AI Omnibus (Reg. (EU) 2026/1744) moved high-risk dates. Old checklists now give the wrong dates.

FAQ
About Compass
Is Compass legal advice?
No. Compass is guidance, not legal advice: a rule engine over a sourced table of obligations. For a reviewed opinion, our AI Act & GDPR audit starts at 950 €.
Which AI Act dates does Compass use?
The dates after the AI Omnibus (Reg. (EU) 2026/1744): Art. 5 bans and Art. 4 literacy from 2 Feb 2025, Art. 50 transparency from 2 Aug 2026, Annex III high-risk from 2 Dec 2027 and Annex I from 2 Aug 2028.
Does the AI Act apply if we only use ChatGPT?
Yes, as a deployer: at least AI literacy for the people who use it (Art. 4), and transparency duties if its output reaches the public. Compass lists exactly what applies.
Does it cover GDPR too?
Yes, where it meets AI: processor agreements with AI vendors, when a DPIA is likely and international transfers.
